Customer feedback draws attention: Improved solution for fauxwood blinds with Velcro clips

Recently, several customers have reported that when using Fauxwood blinds, it is inconvenient to fix them with velcro straps - because the Fauxwood material is of high density and heavy, over time, the velcro straps are prone to come off due to insufficient load-bearing capacity, which affects the user experience. In response to this customer concern, the team promptly initiated a problem-solving special project, aiming to "find an appropriate and reliable solution", and conducted multiple rounds of tests.

During the testing process, the team focused on verifying the "weight of the blinds material and the load-bearing compatibility of the velcro straps". Firstly, they clarified the characteristics of Fauxwood: it is replicated with PVC, resin, etc., having a wood-like appearance but with a higher density. The weight per square meter is approximately 3-4 kg, far exceeding the conventional load-bearing range of the Velcro straps (each strap typically has a load-bearing capacity of less than 1.5 kg), which is the core reason for the straps to easily come off.
To find an alternative solution, the team introduced paulownia (a type of light wood) blinds for comparative testing. As a lightweight solid wood, paulownia has a density of 0.28-0.35 g/cm³, and the weight per square meter is approximately 1.2-1.5 kg, which is only onethird of that of Fauxwood. During the test, the velcro straps of the same specifications were paired with blinds made of both materials. After multiple opening and closing simulations, the Velcro straps paired with the paulownia blinds remained firmly attached without any detachment or loss of adhesion; however, the Velcro straps of the Fauxwood group became noticeably loose after multiple opening and closing, and even completely detached.3M velcro, 3 in total, the maximum load-bearing capacity of the tensile force value we tested is 4kg .As the width of the size increases, we can increase the quantity of 3M velcro used.

The customers' problems are our direction for improvement." This test not only clarified the core differences between Fauxwood and paulownia in terms of weight and compatibility, but also identified the solution of "lightweight material + magic tape straps". Currently, the team has launched a matching velcro strap set for paulownia shutters and provided material replacement consultation services to help customers who need it upgrade their products and completely solve the usage problems. In the future, we will continue to track customer feedback and further optimize the compatibility of materials and accessories to truly implement the service concept of "solving problems for customers" through practical actions.
